I think we've lucked out a bit over here in this regard. At least, I've not noticed anyone apart from the "comfort food" restaurants trying to serve me meatloaf.

Which is not to say that I don't like meatloaf. I do. And if I am at Chat & Chew (a sterling example of the 'comfort food' genre), it's likely to be one of my top two choices (the other being Uncle Red's Addiction - the best fried chicken anywhere). But that's Chat & Chew. If I were to go - say - to Gramercy Tavern and see meatloaf, that might give me pause. I would certainly not order meatloaf at Gramercy Tavern. Not that I suppose it would be bad. But one doesn't go to Gramercy Tavern to order the likes of meatloaf.

I should point out that I am a fan of Gramercy Tavern and use them only as an example.
