There is no culinary holiday today – not that I can find – but that’s OK. MLK Day is holiday enough for all of us, right? Well, except for those of us who didn’t get the day off. But still, don’t feel bad, People Who Are At Work. it’s not like you would have gotten the day off if it were National Seedless Grape Day. So from culinary calendar point of view, you’ve lost nothing.
By the way – why isn’t there something called National Seedless Grape Day? Surely, the very fact that we have a choice (seeded or not – and does anyone ever CHOOSE seeded) should make it holiday worthy. I wonder how one goes about declaring a “day” of this nature. I’m gonna go find out . . .

How about National Strawberry Milk Day?
Or National Applejacks Day? (I suppose the entire nation couldn’t be asked to celebrate a branded product, but it’s worth a try)

why not? We have other branded days – National Fig Newton Day. ‘Fig Newton’ being the property of Nabisco.
